Faience Treasury
Permanent exhibition at the faience production museum in Włocławek, for which I was responsible for the entire graphic layer.

“Fajans Treasury” is a modern permanent exhibition in Włocławek. It showcases over 150 years of local faience production history, combining a traditional museum approach with multimedia, educational games, and contemporary graphic design.

I was responsible for the entire visual and interactive layer – from the concept and UX/UI design of applications to printed materials, information boards, and games. I acted as the lead graphic and interface designer and coordinated the work between creative, technical, and museum teams.
The project was carried out by Projekt Multimedia, responsible for technology and installation, and Koza Nostra Studio, who designed the spatial concept. I collaborated closely with both companies and the curatorial team from Włocławek.

UX/UI and My Role in the Project
The exhibition includes several multimedia applications, each of which I designed in terms of interface, visuals, and interaction.
My goal was to design a user experience that would be clear and engaging for both children and adults – regardless of age or technological skills.

As part of the project:
- I created wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma
- I designed interactions tailored to various touchscreens (different sizes and ratios)
- I adapted each application's visual style to match the overall exhibition design
- I minimized text to make the apps as universal as possible
- I worked closely with developers responsible for implementation and with the AV team handling multimedia installations
- I created test versions of games and apps to assess their clarity and ease of use
In practice, I served as the main UX designer for the multimedia section, shaping the form, pacing, and storytelling style of each interactive point in the exhibition.

Personas
To support the interface design and user journey, we created sample personas representing various visitor types – from local seniors and families with children to tourists interested in design. This helped tailor content, interaction levels, and visuals to diverse user needs.

Multimedia
I designed the graphic layer and interfaces for large-format multimedia installations that played a key role in the exhibition’s storytelling.

Timeline:
One of the key installations was an interactive timeline with buttons and backlit content.
When pressed, the content would appear, accompanied by the voice of Robert Makłowicz narrating the history of Włocławek faience.
I designed the complete graphic structure and typography of the timeline, considering technical and construction limitations.
Figma – graphic design and interactive prototype
Adobe Illustrator – vector graphics
Adobe InDesign – visualization and print prep

World Ceramics Map:
Another major installation was a world map with buttons and a screen.
When a region was selected, the screen displayed information about ceramics from that area.
I was responsible for the graphic design of the map, icons, and interface layout.
Adobe Illustrator – map design and visualization
Figma – interactive layout and usability prototype
Adobe InDesign – print preparation

Memory room:
I also designed an interactive memory game combining physical tiles with touchscreens.
The game featured stylized illustrations inspired by Włocławek ceramic designs – all graphics and UI were created by me.
Figma – interactive prototype for testing
Adobe InDesign – print preparation
Panels, Infographics, and Signage
In addition to multimedia, I designed all "offline" exhibition graphics accompanying the physical exhibits.

Static elements included:
- Title and introductory boards.
- Object labels.
- Biographies and archival photographs.
- Maps and exhibition navigation.
Adobe Illustrator – icons, illustrations
Adobe InDesign – layout and print prep

I ensured accessibility by avoiding small fonts or poor contrast. Each panel was designed with content hierarchy in mind – clear titles, structured text blocks, and guiding illustrations.
XXL Coloring Wall – Design You Can Color In!
One of the most engaging parts of the exhibition was a giant coloring wall, covered in vector illustrations I created based on faience patterns.
Children could draw on it using large markers. A special surface allowed the drawings to be wiped off and redone.
